A joint report by Bain & Company and Swiggy reveals that online food delivery penetration in India has grown from 8% to 12% between 2019 and 2023, marking a 2.8 times increase compared to overall food services. The market, valued at ₹5,50,000 crore, is expected to grow 10%–12% annually, with online delivery projected to contribute 20% by 2030, driven by expanding customer base and technological adoption.
