India's NSIL and Australia's Space Machines Company announced at the India Space Congress that the SSLV rocket will launch Australia's Optimus satellite in 2026. This marks SSLV's first dedicated commercial mission, following its earlier mission carrying the Janus nanosatellite. Named Space MAITRI, this collaboration signifies a major step in India-Australia space cooperation, enhancing ties between their space sectors and promoting joint technological innovation.
